The Adobe Illustrator assignment was an opportunity to go back to a previous work of mine and generate something akin to marketing for the older video installation. Illustrator is difficult to wield in a way that evokes the grimy industrial wasteland usually present in my work, however it perfectly fits the sterile nature of advertising. This lead me to consider what kind of space my existing artworks could inhabit. I can imagine this one as a standalone attraction, a bizarre cinema for one. Who is she? Why is she singing about her grocery list? Why is the tiny man screaming? It markets itself. But clean and infinitely scalable graphics are a boon to any entertainment venture!
